Protests against the U.S. Navy’s bombing exercises on the island of Vieques will not affect travel to the rest of Puerto Rico. Vieques is seven miles to the east of the main island and the demonstrations take place there with no disruptions elsewhere. Travel to Vieques, however, should be deferred while protests are occurring.
