Weeks of heavy rain and a recent tropical storm have washed away the homes of more than a million people and knocked out power lines and bridges in Mozambique, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana. Defer travel here until conditions improve. In South Africa, the crisis mostly affects Northern Province.
