Heavy rains have produced flooding and mudslides in many areas of Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda. More than 100 people have been killed in Burundi and Kenya, and thousands displaced. Little relief is in sight because the rainy season, which has been heavier than usual this year, usually runs until mid-June.
