The political opposition in the state of Guerrero is protesting the inauguration of the new governor and unrest is possible in the capital of Chilpancingo and other cities. Chilpancingo is on the main road between Mexico City and Acapulco. Check with authorities or follow local news reports before traveling by road to Guerrero’s coastal areas.
