In a further boost to efforts for a lasting peace in Kashmir, normal life is returning to the areas along the so-called Line of Control since the cease-fire by Pakistan was reciprocated by India. Areas that have been off-limits since 1990 are now being rehabilitated. Roads are being repaired by civilians and locals are resuming routine activities in places that have been under fire for the past 13 years.
