By Larry Habegger | Permalink |The death of an Aboriginal teenager allegedly while being chased on his bicycle by police prompted the worst civil unrest Sydney had seen in decades Feb. 15, and revealed deep racial divisions that have simmered for generations. The riots in the Redfern district continued for nine hours and 40 police officers were injured.
