The U.S. State Department reissued its travel warning for Kenya May 21, citing continuing concerns about terrorist threats in the region targeting Americans and other Westerners. These threats include “indiscriminate attacks on civilian targets in public places including tourist sites and locations where Westerners are known to congregate,” and the warning was issued in the face of lobbying by Kenya to lift the travel advisory.
