By Larry Habegger | Permalink |If negotiations fail to settle a pay dispute, British Airways check-in and baggage workers will stage a 24-hour strike any day from Aug. 27 to 31. The action will take place at London’s Heathrow and Gatwick airports and could affect four more UK airports if additional employees vote to join the strike. The walkout will begin at 3:30 a.m. and will severely disrupt the airlines’ flights.
