On the night of Oct. 22, a mob of angry locals attacked a bar in an area of Jakarta frequented by foreigners because it was serving alcohol during the holy month of Ramadan. Throughout Ramadan, which runs until Nov. 14, it would be prudent to avoid standalone bars or clubs because of the possibility of further attacks.
