Norway
By Larry Habegger | Permalink |An incident where a passenger brought an ax aboard an aircraft and attacked the pilots has prompted Norwegian officials to implement tighter security policies, requiring that all airports, including regional short takeoff and landing airports, search all passengers and hand luggage, either with handheld devices or by hand. The measures also require that all cockpit doors be locked during flights. These rules will remain in effect until Jan. 1, when all airports are expected to have full security systems in place to check passengers and luggage.
