Sweden’s transport workers have voted to strike Oct. 11 in a dispute with SAS, the flag carrier for Denmark, Norway and Sweden. The strike by luggage handlers and mechanics will affect all airlines that fly to Sweden, causing delays and possible cancellations, and could be joined by aircraft technicians Oct. 18 if a settlement isn’t reached. Seaport workers have planned a sympathy strike for Nov. 1 that would slow the movement of goods through Goteborg and Stockholm.
