Malaysia
By Larry Habegger | Permalink |Incidents of road rage have increased in Kuala Lumpur, with most serious encounters occurring late at night. Recently an expatriate couple was in a minor accident outside a popular nightclub at 3 a.m., after which a group of locals attacked their car, smashed windows with fists and motorcycle helmets, then dragged one occupant out of the car. If driving in the city, be cautious, give way to other drivers, keep your doors locked and windows closed, carry a cell phone so you can call for help for yourself or others, and try to plan to be home at a reasonable hour.

In the past the group has kidnapped tourists from resorts and have killed some when ransoms were not forthcoming.
