Greece
By Larry Habegger | Permalink |In an effort to capitalize on last year’s successful Olympics and boost tourism, the Greek government announced that museums and archaeological sites will open earlier and close later beginning in June. New opening hours are 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., seven days a week. These new hours apply to the Acropolis in Athens and other major sites around the country. Previously many of Greece’s main museums closed at 2 p.m. Many stores will also remain open until 9 p.m.
