Montana, Wyoming

The scenic Beartooth Highway into Yellowstone National Park has been blocked by massive landslides and is likely to be closed all summer. The highway, U.S. 212, winds over 10,940-foot Beartooth Pass and links Red Lodge with Yellowstone’s northeast entrance via Cooke City, Montana. The Wyoming side of the highway and the northeast entrance remain open. An alternative route is Chief Joseph Scenic Highway, Wyoming 296.
