United Kingdom: London’s Northern Line Running Again
By Larry Habegger | Permalink |London’s Northern Line subway was completely shut down Oct. 12 for emergency maintenance after drivers walked off the job to protest multiple failures of emergency brakes. The line was up and running again by Oct. 17 but still plagued by considerable delays. Replacement bus services were in operation. The Northern Line is the London Underground’s busiest segment.
