Worldwide Security: U.S. State Department Cautions Travelers

By Larry Habegger | Permalink | No Comments | June 14th, 2006 | Trackback

The U.S. State Department reissued its public announcement cautioning about the continuing threat of terrorist actions and other violence against U.S. citizens and interests overseas. The announcement cited the recent uproar over the publication in the Western press of caricatures of Mohammed as an example of how demonstrations and violence can take place with little warning. The statement added that current information suggests terrorist groups continue to plan attacks against the U.S. in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East, and such attacks could occur in places where Americans congregate.
