Guatemala: American Saved from Mob by Police
By Larry Habegger | Permalink |Police in Panajachel on Lake Atitlan rescued an American man from an angry mob that threatened to lynch him. The mob accused him or raping an 11-year-old girl, and police persuaded them to release him by vowing to investigate the allegations. It is unclear if there is any substance to the charge, but the incident is a reminder to be careful in rural areas of Guatemala, especially around Guatemalan children. Several times in recent years, angry villagers have beaten or threatened Westerners over rumors of them kidnapping local children, and mobs have killed local thieves.

We, central americans, are sick of pervert americans who are only looking for sex, even with children. That would explain the mob.
