Hungary: Unrest in Budapest

The worst unrest since failed efforts to push out the Soviets in 1956 erupted in Budapest Monday and Tuesday nights when 10,000 people rallied to protest admitted government lies about the economy. Clashes occurred when a large group split off and attacked the state TV building. Police quelled the protests with water cannons and tear gas, but tensions remain.
