State railway workers plan 9 a.m.-5 p.m. strikes on three days in different parts of the Italy that could affect rail and ferry service. The first strike is planned for Oct. 16 and could affect train service in the Calabria region; the second strike is scheduled for Oct. 17 in Piemonte and could affect train service there and in Turin; the third strike is planned for Oct. 26 and may affect ferry service throughout Italy. Also, airport ground staff at Venice’s Marco Polo Airport plan a noon-4 p.m. strike Oct. 21 that could disrupt flights.
