Ukraine: Skinhead Attacks Have Increased in Kiev

The U.S. Embassy in Kiev issued an announcement Nov. 3 reminding Americans that racially-motivated attacks by skinheads have increased and “have occurred without provocation in prominent areas of downtown Kiev that are commonly frequented by tourists.” The majority of victims have been of Asian, African or other non-European descent, but all visitors should be vigilant. Harassment is also common, with both civilians and police stopping Asians and Africans on the street for no legitimate purpose.

Last month,friend of was attack by group of local just in front the student hostel around 5pm. Believed to be a xenophobia related.This is not a new prob face by foreigner,and the worst part is the attack increasing in no. Xenophobia phenomena not only happen in capitol, but in all ukraine states at large.

A chinease guy was attacked in maidan in Kiev on 9th july at 5 P.M by a group of skinhates. He was beaten severly by baseball bats.
Eventhough around 100 people were watching, nobody saved him.
