Trinidad and Tobago: Crime Threatening Justice System

The U.S. Ambassador spoke out about high crime in the islands Nov. 29 and vowed that the U.S. government would do everything possible to bring to justice criminals who harm Americans. Local officials are concerned that the justice system is falling apart because of disappearing witnesses and refusal of people to testify in court. Because criminal cases are not proceeding efficiently, the threat of crime may be growing, and the risk to travelers increasing whether they are targets or not. Robberies tend to increase during the Christmas holiday season, so travelers should be especially aware of their surroundings at this time.

If you want to have a good vacation, don’t do to trinidad. It is a bad idea, 300000 trinis have left in the past three years, leaving only 900000ppl. Almost a thousand have been murdered, more than 300 minority indians have been kidnapped in the last three years.
We have oil and gas in trinidad, 50% of the people are illiterate and America will turn us into a little Iraq as a bastion between Venezuela and Cuba, and the transshipment point of all the Cocaine the US needs.
Go see any other caribbean island.
