Italy: Air, Rail, and Transit Strikes

Air traffic controllers will walk out March 13 nationwide from noon to 4 p.m. and in Rome from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. On the same day, Florence Airport personnel will strike from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., possibly disrupting operations. Transit workers in Milan plan to strike March 16 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. affecting buses, trams and subways. State railway workers intend to strike March 23 in Emilia Romagna and Lombardy from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. affecting service to Bologna, Milan and other cities.

hi i was flying from liverpool to rome italy but my flight was cancelled due to the strike 13/03/2007 in italy. but this news states from the 7th march, should i not have been told earlier before i set off from liverpool.cheers dave p.s. i think i might get my money back but if i dont i should be able to print off this post as proof do you think
