Sri Lanka: New Tourist Police

A joint effort by the Sri Lanka Tourist Board, the Tourism Ministry and the Police Department has reestablished a Tourist Police Division that will set up stations in key resorts around the country. The goal is to ensure that all tourists enjoy a hassle-free holiday. The tourist police will respond to visitor complaints but also investigate allegations of unlawful activities by tourists themselves.
