India: Train Passengers Drugged, Robbed
By Larry Habegger | Permalink |The second incident in a month of drugging and robbing train passengers occurred July 4 when 13 passengers aboard the Karnataka Express from Bangalore to Delhi were found unconscious in their compartment. They had eaten cookies laced with sedatives offered by the thieves and were rushed to the hospital still unconscious. All of their possessions were gone. On June 5 a software professional bound for Bangalore on the Kakinada Express accepted tea from strangers and also awoke several hours later in a hospital, with no possessions.
