Egypt: Security Increased at Cairo’s International Airport

Authorities have increased security at Cairo’s international airport amid concerns of potential terrorist attacks similar to those recently in Britain and Algeria. Part of the effort involves new police checkpoints with sniffer dogs on roads leading to and from the airport, and searching of all passengers instead of randomly selected individuals. Egypt had already tightened security on Cairo’s subway system because of fears of possible attacks.
