France: Air France Strike May Cause Delays

By Larry Habegger | Permalink | 2 comments | October 25th, 2007 | Trackback

Sixty percent of Air France flight attendants plan to strike Oct. 28-29 unless talks between the union and management resolve their dispute. The walkout is likely to cause flight delays and cancellations, particularly at Paris’ Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports. The strike will also affect Air France’s partner KLM.

I am expecting a guest from Paris to Delhi Tuesday late night landing in India, my guest took a long time to give me appoitment and now it is very sad that Air France is wasting everybody’s time when this is time for all of us at the year end to plan on new year business…………very fustrating

Our flight from Paris to Boston was cancelled the first day of the strike. We got home via Montreal the next day, but almost a week later, we still have no luggage and no one knows where it is. It was sheer chaos in Paris, and that was just day one. Even though the strike may be officially “over,” I’d advise anyone not to fly Air France in the near future. They still don’t have their act together.
