Antigua: British Honeymooner Shot and Killed in Resort

Two British honeymooners were shot by intruders while sleeping in their resort cottage July 27, the woman dying at the scene and the man seriously wounded. The incident is unusual for Antigua, an island that has little violent crime against tourists, although crimes with guns are increasing and robberies are not uncommon. Authorities are searching for suspects and a motive, which they presume was robbery. The killing was the tenth murder on the island this year.
