Mexico: Mazatlan Dropped from Cruise Line Itineraries

The cruise ship Disney Wonder and Holland America Lines have dropped Mazatlan from their itineraries, citing concerns about passenger safety for their decisions. Carnival is also considering dropping the port from its cruises. Mazatlan has escaped most of the drug-gang violence that has plagued Sinaloa state and other parts of Mexico, and officials say the crime against cruise passengers in port have been minor incidents, but the cruise lines are pulling out nonetheless.
