Russia: Anarchists Attack Parking Lot
By Larry Habegger and Andrew Davis | Permalink |Anarchists believed to be associated with the radical group Anarchic Gerilya are suspected of seriously damaging vehicles in a parking lot in Moscow. Police found two explosive devices—one filled with pieces of metal and the other a firebomb—at the scene. Activists associated with the group have been involved in previous criminal activity, including the detonation of a powerful firebomb June 6 at a traffic police outpost. Though the incidents have yet to produce major injuries, property damage has accumulated. It is a reminder to tourists to be cautious and vigilant when traveling throughout Moscow.
