Mexico: Princess Cruises to Stop Visiting Puerto Vallarta
By Larry Habegger and Andrew Davis | Permalink |In another blow to the Mexican tourism industry, Princess Cruises has decided to stop visiting Puerto Vallarta for the rest of the year. Princess cited safety concerns as the reason for pulling out of the destination, although the Mexico Tourism Board maintains that Puerto Vallarta is a safe place. The board claims that incidents involving tourists are very rare despite the latest U.S. State Department travel warning. Princess’s decision comes just months after Princess and several other cruise lines announced that they would no longer be serving Mazatlan due to growing concerns over drug-related violence.

We have a timeshare in Nuevo Vallarta and cannot believe that Princess Cruises are no longer coming to port there. We go there every year.
We have found Puerto Vallarta safe unless there has been some incidences that we are not aware of and if there are it sure has not be advertised like other places.
