United Kingdom: Deadly Stabbing on Busy Commercial Street

By Larry Habegger and Andrew Davis | Permalink | No Comments | December 28th, 2011 | Trackback

A young man was stabbed to death during a post-Christmas shopping rush on one of London’s busiest commercial streets. The man was attacked at the junction of Oxford Street and Stratford Place, near a Footlocker. The police have apprehended suspects, but the details remain fuzzy, as the scene of the crime was crowded with pedestrians seeking clearance deals. Commercial zones and shopping centers are often places of interest for tourists, but can also be a hub of petty crime that target visitors.
