Thailand: Protestors Strike in Bangkok

Thousands of anti-government demonstrators took to the streets of Bangkok Nov. 11, while organizers announced plans for a three-day strike in the coming weeks. The protests began in response to an amnesty bill, which sources say would allow for the return of exiled former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra. The strike could affect transportation and other services and tourists should follow local news for updates.
