Thousands of protestors calling for Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra to step down remained in the streets of Bangkok after riot police removed barricades Dec. 3. At least four people were killed and 256 injured during the height of the three weeks of demonstrations. Protest leader Suthep Thaugsuban called for more action against the government and officials were seeking his arrest. Visitors should stay away from large crowds and follow local news for updates.
