Trinidad and Tobago: Bombing in Port-of-Spain
By Larry Habegger | Permalink |A bombing outside a popular nightclub in Port-of-Spain Oct. 14 wounded ten and followed a series of bombings that have occurred around the same time of each month since July. On July 11 a bomb in a trash bin on a downtown street injured 14, and on Aug. 11 and Sept. 10 similar bombs exploded in trash bins with no injuries. The U.S. State Department issued a warning to avoid the downtown area from Oct. 9-12 because of worries about another bombing, which occurred two days later. The FBI is on the scene assisting authorities in an effort to find the culprits. Thus far no group or individual has claimed responsibility.
