Belgium and France: Airline Security Measures Relaxed

By Larry Habegger | Permalink | No Comments | September 12th, 2006 | Trackback

Temporary security measures imposed Aug. 10 on flights to the U.S. were relaxed Sept. 4. Passengers may now carry on a standard piece of hand luggage and electronic devices, but still may not carry liquids, creams or gels. The same is true for passengers transferring in Brussels to flights to the U.S. No special restrictions apply for flights not going to the U.S. In France, controls have been lifted on liquids and gels on flights to the U.K., but still remain in effect for flights to the U.S. and Israel. Carry-on bags on flights to Britain will still be manually searched, but passengers will no longer be systematically frisked.
