Kenya: Terrorist Threat to Hotels and Shopping Centers

The Kenyan police commissioner issued a terror warning for shopping centers and hotels, citing threats from a Somali militant group with ties to al-Qaeda known as al-Shabaab. The group is responsible for the attack in Uganda’s capital Kampala that left 76 dead during the World Cup. Travelers should be aware of heightened security in public places and remain alert for further warnings.
